Dear Teachers,
Just a reminder that entries for the SwinGame 09 Games Design Competition for secondary school students close at 5:30 pm on Friday 7 August 2009.
There is still time for students to develop a game (individually or in groups of up to three). The runner up from last year started developing his game only a month before the closing date so there is still time for students.
Please pass the SwinGame website onto your students. There are tutorials and other tools online to help them get started. Details are available from www.swingame.com
On another note - the VCE Physics & Telecommunications workshop at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus on Tuesday 28 July has new places open for students. Due to a cancellation we are able to take new registrations for individual students or classes of Physics students so please pass the following website onto Year 12 Physics students and teachers that may be interested http://www.swinburne.edu.au/ict/schools/swinburne/#physics.
This full day workshop has sessions that focus on the application of physics in areas such as optical fibres, networking, photonics, electronics and light and matter.
Regards,
Rob Mercer
