We had the same problem last year, your .NET framework needs to give full trust (our IT dept created this small .MSI file that they enabled on all machines). Its about deploying Vb.Net - I can send you the MSI file specs if you like but not till monday as our IT guy is away.

Subject: Visual not so Basic - acces rights issue
Hi,
after many years of resisting, i finally moved my SD class from VB6 to VB.NET - which seems to have taken the 'basic' out of VB!
I have just discovered an annoying issue that our network admin. says he can't fix - yet i have memories of the same issue being resolved on this list a few years ago??
When students try to write files (eg a simple textpad program) to the network drive, there is an exception. However, if they do it locally (to the desktop) the program runs fine.
Is there a .NET network permissions issue here that is easily solved?
thanks
Gordon
