Hi Jack, 

Have a look at http://www.000webhost.com/  

You can use your own domain name or just have a
www.member.webhost000.com  type of site name (or similar not sure as I use my own domain name)

They provide 250MB webspace and 100GB bandwidth

They also have CPanel and Fantastico for easy site management (eg file
management, emails management, sql etc., and instant installation of
lots of free OS software apps such as moodle, joomla, phpBB etc. 



In fact for free I don't think there is anything better as you are not
locked into a website format such as in other free web hosting sites.



Let me know how you go. I have lots of experience with fantastico and
CPanel so if you need any help reply to the offline list.
