Hi Paula
I have just spent some time going through the study design and assessment guides to check that I have covered everything with my Software Development class.
I have a question with regards to Unit 4, Outcome 1, Task 2. For part of this task, I asked my students to create user documentation for part of the software application that they created for Task 1. It was a VB front end that worked with an Access database.
The user doc that they wrote probably took the average student 1.5-2 hrs and involved instructing the user how to do a member search using a variety of methods, how to scroll through the search results and what output to expect. They were able to demonstrate logical sequence, accuracy, comprehensibility and presentation as the assessment guide required.
I did not ask them to create user doc for the whole application as I felt this was quite onerous and would not have allowed them to demonstrate anything that they could not demonstrate in the task that I set. Is this OK or should I get them to complete user doc for the entire application?
Regards
Anthony Ciappara
