'Lessons' in spelling more to the point !
I for one also enjoyed the wee Keynote speaker from wee bonnie Scotland, but his ideas of using games as a catalyst in learning have been around for a wee longer than even Andrew can remember.
I can remember using some great adventure games on the Apple IIe back in the 80's like Transylvania to name one, where the thematic approach was used in teaching and learning
Anyhow, I've diverted from Andrew's initial query so I'll end it here

Hi,,
I have just been to the Vitta conference and have a few questions.
q1)What is the future of VET IT in respects to teaching IT skills? I am hearing IT skills are not being taught as much in some areas now in new VET courses. There was a claim that wizards can do it all which lessons the need to teach IT skills.
Now someone set me straight please.
comment:I loved the games in education at the conference and have been creating my own resources along those lines. I see a big future for interactive software. Scottish education seems to have stolen my idea or maybe it is in the genes:)!
