[Year 12 SofDev] Help needed please

When you decide on the programming language to use, you will find there are specialist lists devoted just to those languages eg vbasic and php. I think python will be going soon if it isn't already. If you are not sure which language to choose, pose a question to this List and people will help you make that decision depending on your skill set.

Try your best to get into the VITTA conference sessions on SD. 
VITTA will also be holding more PD early in Term 1. 
Look also for messages to these Lists from Rob Mercer at Swinburne; his sessions are good value.
Purchase the 2008 and 2007 final exams from VITTA since they contain Teacher Notes and solutions.
Visit Mark Kelly's website, vceit.com, for all kinds of tutorials and helpful information.
Buy the Potts and Keane textbook.
Buy the Janson and Dawson textbook.

The VITTA website has many resources -- Outcomes, exercises and the like -- which you can use.

Edulists also has many similar resources. Some are password protected.

First time on this and I'm here after help.

I have just been informed that I am teaching Software Development for next year and I have no idea where to start.

It's a new course at my school so there is no previous course to follow. If anyone could send me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
