Hi Kevin,
thanx for this document. We (the tecnician and I ) downloaded somethign very similar from the net and tried to give permissions (for reading and writing) but the file path was c:\ and none of us teachers and students can write on the c: drive. We have S/H/T drives where we do all our work.
When Nathan (our technician) uses the programmer logged as a local administrator the programs work for him, but as soon as we try it on the network drive we get the permissions error.
We didnt do the full trust bit as mentioned in your document and will try it tommorrow
Thanx once again
Fatima

Hi Fatima,
It can be a network trust problem
Can you write the text file to c:?
If so the following mod could help
This should not affect any other security issues as it only refers to
the vb net programs
regards
Kevin
