[Year 12 SofDev] Wireless routers

...more on the VITTA 2007 Sample 1 paper, which I think is a good paper
to do in which most questions are well pitched. 
 
There is a question where you fill in the names of different components
in a LAN. The thing about this that surprised me is that the scenario
and solution refers to a 'wireless router'. Given that we try to get
kids to understand the role/function/capabilities/limitations etc of
switches, routers, firewalls, modems, I try to make a big deal with my
kids that the little black boxes they have at home integrate all these
functions into one box, but that they need to view them as separate
components. And that when people refer to their router, that this is an
over simplification of what it does. So, while I heard someone say the
other day that they had recently installed a router at home where the
broadband connection was actually wireless, the wireless reference
generally has nothing to do with the router, but rather the switch.
