Thanks Jane

I have not heard of Sarah Carter - then again it is possible she is at our
other campus - often we 'miss' staff at that campus -

Thanks for your prompt reply

Cheers

hi ken,
first of all, our school is changing too. we are now changing to a similar
timetable with 4 periods a day.

also, we are currently investigating having our yr. 10's do a unit one and
two, but this is still in the pipeline due to a campus relocation this time
next year. also we are a small school and only have about 50 students in
each yr level.

with regards to the yr. 11 's picking up a 3/4, it really depends on the
subject and their individual results as to whether they are able to cope as
well as the subject caters for this.

generally, our policy is to have the yr. 12's complete 5 subjects.

anything else?

just out of interest, a friend of mine recently began teaching in sale, her
name is sarah carter. does she work with you? i actually was raised in
bairnsdale (very close) and attended nagle college. so good to hear that
this system is working to help us all out!

good luck with everything.

jane dwyer.

  Hi all,

Sorry to bother you at this busy time of the year. Our school is changing
its timetable to 4 periods a day and as VCE coordinator I have been asked to
examine some of the policies of other schools regarding the following;

Year 10 students commencing a Unit 1 and 2 VCE study
Year 11 students completing a Unit 3/4 VCE sequence - and if Year 11
students would be allowed to complete two Unit 3/4 sequences
Whether or not Year 11 students completing a 3/4 sequence have to complete
Unit 1 and 2 of that study in Year 10 - or can they simply pick up the study
in Year 11.
Any policy regarding the number of Unit 3/4 studies a Year 12 student has to
complete in their final year - for example doing 4 studies as opposed to 5.

Any feedback on the above policies would be much appreciated although I am
aware how busy you all are.
