position paper on the place of computing in the new Australian
Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA)

Written in formal response to

Please take a moment to read the ACARA shape paper.

Please consider responding with your own submission to ACARA:
http://www.surveymethods.com/EndUser.aspx?E5C1ADB7EDA3B2BEEE
or to ACCE or your local ACCE affiliate
http://acce.edu.au/about-acce/members-and-affiliations
ICTEV, ICTENSW, QSITE, ITEANT, ECAWA, CEGSA, TASITE and the ACS.
Supporting ACCE's push to include Computing and Digital Technologies as
a subject (in addition to ICT inclusion as a "general capability"), with
supporting examples suitable for K-12 that promote the use of,
exploration of and participation in free and open source software and
hardware projects is a rare opportunity to promote the cause of tech
freedom in the school sector of our education system.
