[Opensource] Ubuntu on Parallels

Trying to install Ubuntu 9.04 in Parallels keeps crashing after asking  
for the language.
Anyone else running this in Parallels 3.0 (Build 5608) on Leopard  
10.5.7 ?
Can you install from an iso on the hdd rather than a CD?
It's a nuisance!
