Hi all,
Inkscape, my favourite free software application is gearing up for its
next release in the next few months. This means they need help with
reviewing and triaging bug reports.
As an open source project this process is also open and transparent
meaning this is an authentic opportunity for kids learning who are about
software development to participate directly in the development
life-cycle of a real software application.
Inkscape runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux, so this means most students
can run the applicaton, test for bugs, and add their comments to
launchpad online. https://launchpad.net/inkscape
I'm still looking for some good references / tutorials for good bug
triage guidelines - but if anyone is interested in getting their
students involved, please let me know.
cheers
Donna
