[Opensource] MythTV stand at LinuxConf Open Day

Exactly .. think of it as a free to air HDD recorder on steroids and you get
my drift. They take the guess work out of the hardware and build a box that
does its job well. After buying the box, we now have oodles left over to buy
DVDs again .. :-)

A huge irritation is always vendor lockin, use of closed standards, the
seducation of glossy brochures and the hype around the hawthorn effect when
new technologies are launched. As a rule, I avoid bagging solutions on a
public mailing list so feel free to chat to me off-list .. I can add more.

Regards Roland
