[Opensource] Inkscape and Gimp Tutorials

We have deployed both GIMP and Inkscape on all our school computers, and our
new MacBook laptops. It is free for students to download or loan for use
from the CDROMs that we have provided for loan in the library. We also
purchased some good books by graphic designers and photographers that use
this software as a reference.
Here is a very nice Inkscape tutorial that you can follow to learn how to
draw with vector graphics software.

GIMP is a photo manipulation software that is often regarded as a "killer
application" for free software with provision for editing with layers,
masking, filters etc. Here is a beginners tutorial that you can use to start
things off.

Printable PDF versions can be downloaded that you can print off or upload to
Moodle.
