Same thing for me a couple of years ago. My outlook pst was corrupt, it was just the straw that pushed it over the edge. One of the techs fixed it up and all was good. One thing they did before the file repair was to create a new outlook setup on another test machine and it worked fine. A lesson I learned was that I really didn't have a workable backup to fall back upon and that these things can just happen at any point.
