[Offtopic] Security for student laptops

Hi Folks,

 We are rolling out 100 laptops for Yr 7 students shortly and there is debate on how to secure them during the day eg. when student is at sport, at lunch, at some other activity.
The options are to have a layer of admin where they hand them in to an adult who stores them until they collect it - labour , storage, costs are obvious disadvantages.
Alternatively they use their lockers with cameras located in locker bays for monitoring any theft, tampering.

What have schools done about this issue  ?
