December 1st is the start of the *Summer Reading Club* in Victoria. 

This is a special event at most Public Libraries during the summer
holidays. Children have to read 10 books which enables them to win a
prize. This is a fun event to motivate kids to keep on reading during
the holidays. 

The theme this year is "Read on the Wild Side"

If you are in the Moonee Valley Council: big launch of the SRC on Tue 1st
Dec 4pm with a visit of life insects from the Insectarium in Woodend. All
welcome.

Check with your local library re. SRC and please promote it amongst your 
students.
