[Offtopic] Oracle to purchase Sun

I asked this of a contact I have with Sun who pointed out that MySQL is not
only a different product from the heavy weight Oracle system, the current
market and end users are quite different too. One author nicely describes it
as comparing dolphins with nuclear powered submarines. He strongly suspects
given the past support by Oracle towards open source solutions and it's wish
to maintain any market share, it really has no option but to fully embrace
and continue technical support for MySQL.
