LEMON GROVE (US) A pair of East County school districts are being
recognized for effectively using technology in their classrooms.
The Lemon Grove School District is being honored for its "Class Web
Framework," which went into full use this school year for third through
eighth grades ..
(One major) benefit of the system is that teachers at different schools
can easily share resources, such as lesson plans, by simply logging on to
the system and looking at what the other teachers have created.
Each one of the district's middle school students has an "e-Pad" computer
tablet that allows them to access the system at school or at home.
The district provides high-speed Internet access at the homes of middle
school students who do not already have it. The students' social studies
and science textbooks also are contained on a chip in the e-Pad.
"They are one of the leaders not only in the county, but in the country
at using these technologies," Braciszewski said.
