Just noticed that the call for papers for the ACEC 2008 conference is 
opening on August 31... the end of this week,

http://www.acec2008.info  - will be in Canberra from 29 September – 2 
October 2008.  

The last ACEC national conference was last year in Cairns and it was a 
beauty...  these conferences, held every second year, are a terrific mix 
of academic and practitioner work and cover every sector of education and 
every possible use of ICT in education you could imagine. They are hosted 
by ACCE, the Australian Council for Computers in Education 

Time to think about being there - or presenting...
