Our contract with the ISP has just expired and I was hoping that I could
get some advice and contact details with regards to ISPs. Currently we
have a data cap of 20 gig a month. Our current monthly bill includes
link rental, router/firewall rental and 20 gig of data. We run off a
microwave link and it is costing us in the vicinity of $4000 a month. We
have a 2Mbps symmetric upload and download speed. Is this a reasonable
amount to pay per month - or are there better deals around?
We would not want to reduce our upload and download speed and our local
telephone exchange can only handle 512k.
In terms of the microwave link - I am not sure why the College has not
explored other options. What else is available?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards
Therese
