Roland,
I love that idea of PDAs! When I was in Singapore recently, McDonalds was using them with the girls walking down the queues taking orders.
Tom,
When I worked at Katherine High School a few years back they had quite a good system where you recorded the absentees with a 2b pencil and a scanning sheet, the receptionist then scanned all sheets through the special scanner. I believe they upgraded after I left and I am sure they wouldn't mind it if called them to ask what they had.
Regards, Terri.

Rob, we have huge plans at a wireless rollout with PDA devices/laptops using FirstClass A+ at Westall, just around the corner from you! Additional software only costed us about $600. Drop over one day for a chat or give me a call this afternoon. Contact details on the website.
Regards Roland

Subject: [Offtopic] electronic Roll (Attendance)
Hi There
Just wanting to find out of the schools using an electronic solution for student attendance, what are the various products\software available?
I am investigating on behalf of a primary school with about 600 students.
Suggestions and thoughts appreciated.
Thanks in advance
regards
