[Moodle] Issues with updated Moodle

Hi Nicole,
Re our problem at Sandringham College where staff were not able to add files / resources to courses I found two problems:

  1.  The Activity Chooser dialog was remaining in the background – hidden by course topics.  This was fixed by updating the 'FadeBack' theme.
  2.  The inability for existing Course Teachers to edit topics  (add files / resource) was fixed by removing the teacher's account from Moodle, getting to log back in and re-enrolling them into the required courses.  Not an elegant fix but good enough for the (very) small number of teachers that actually use the system.

I suspect my problems may have been caused by insufficient disk space on the server when the upgrade to v2.4 and v2.4.1 was applied.
I'm not sure that we got the same error as you are re file size.

Hi,

We have discovered the same problem with uploading files. Our admin account holders can upload up to the file size selected but teachers are getting an error message of too big file size no where near the size we have allocated.

 Has anyone found a solution to this?

Did your technicians put your Moodle into maintenance mode to do the update. If they still have it in maintenance mode you won’t be able to do anything in Moodle.

Over the break the techs updated to the latest version of Moodle…
I have been able to set up new courses, but not add files or activities.
I found the new “activity chooser” button and switched that to on, and although I can now see the activities I still can’t add any…
Am I doing a blokes look? Or has something not been checked?
