With just over one week remaining before the VITTA Annual Conference begins
for 2008, VITTA is gearing up for its best conference yet. We've had a
flurry of registrations and last minute additions to the program including
two not to be missed sessions outlined below:

Tuesday 25 November 11:50am
*2318 - **BrainPOP in the Promethean Activclassroom - Steve Brazier
(Promethean)*
Founded in 1999, BrainPOP (www.brainpop.com) creates animated,
curriculum-based content that supports educators and engages students. Our
award-winning online resources include BrainPOP, for grades 3 and up and
BrainPOP Jr., for grades K-3. Our newest resource, BrainPOP Educators,
features free tips, tools, and best practices by and for our teacher
community.
Ideal for both group and one-on-one settings, BrainPOP is used in numerous
ways, from introducing a new lesson or topic to illustrating complex subject
matter to reviewing before a test.

*3318 - Making a 1:1 Successful - Jeff Mao (Learning Policy Director, Maine
Learning and Technology Initiative)*
Jeff Mao is the Learning Policy Director for the world's largest and  highly
successful school 1:1 laptop initiative in the state of Maine  USA. In this
session Jeff will share lessons learned from the challenges they've faced
along the way, and how they manage to keep smiling with over 40 000
concurrent users!  Gain valuable insights into hardware, software, learning
platforms, useful applications and capacity building for new teaching and
learning practices.

We're really pleased to welcome both Jeff and Steve to the program and
invite you to register for these sessions online at

details below.
