At a recent Joomla! Conf in Melbourne - one of the developers was
streamed to the conference and answered questions from the audience. I
wonder how much bandwidth would be needed to at least have a one way
stream from Brisbane? A web cam on Skype?? That's not expensive
especially if there is just a few pre-determined pickup points with say
a projector ... even capture and forward later. No doubt organization
will come in time.
BTW - One of the advantages of that is we are not subjected in the
southern regions to that unconscionable weather either ... just the vid
:-)

Why is it that so few conferences make use of video conferencing and
related technologies? I would think that this would be a perfect
conference to make use of this type of tech...
I guess it probably comes down to money.
