[Moodle] Question: Ultranet and Moodle

If UltraNet is worth using, then it would be a one off investment to
contract someone (like me !?) to transfer all the course docs that your
teachers have developed in moodle into UltraNet.

The sad but more likely eventuality will be that schools will just have
another app that they are forced to use for some purposes but do not wish to
use for others.

(e.g. we are forced to use CASES for reporting to DEET, but nearly all
school run a mile from its TT (They use the TimeTabler instead), it's
attendance system (they use one of the many commercial products), it's built
in assessment writer (they usr Markbook), it's behaviour recording system
(they use anything else !!) etc etc

Hi Guys, Thanks for all your input. I understand that it is a stand alone
program. I was just worried that all the work my teachers are putting into
moodle will be to no affect as the Ultranet would replace all the work that
has and is being done.

Thanks

Kim

But Moodle isn't a program as such i.e. it's not a stand alone application,
its a configurable, dynamic, php website that stores its information in a
database. It's really quite irrelevant whether the Ultranet "supports" it or
not, unless you have set up your entire school''s information system on it.
All you need is a server running it and links to it.

Subject: [Moodle] Question: Ultranet and Moodle

Hi Guys,

This might sound like a silly questions but I have just been recently
informed that the Ultra net will not support moodle as a program. Is this
correct, I thought it sounded funny but I just want to know if there is any
truth in this statement. If any of you could clear this up, that would be
great.

( I was told that Vic government was not going to allow moodle to be run
along side the Ultranet, is this true?)

Thanks
