[Moodle] Multi Campus schools in Vic

I think moodle I.8 already has this functionality.... Looking at using it to=
 allow a parallel moodle for alumni so that alumni can't message current stu=
dents.

Search in settings
Use this page to grant/deny access to specific users from remote Moodle Netw=
ork hosts. This is functional when you are offering SSO services to remote u=
sers. To control your local users' ability to roam to other Moodle Network h=
osts, use the roles system to grant them the mnetcanroam capability.

For this functionality to work, you must have Moodle Networking On, plus the=
 Moodle Network authentication plugin enabled with auto-add users enabled .

Moodle Network is disabled.

Moodle Networking Authentication pluginis disabled.

Auto-add users in Moodle Networking Authentication plugin is disabled.


No entries in the SSO access control list

 Username:  Remote Hub:  Choose...  All Hosts Access Level:  Choose...  Allo=
w  Deny

Dear all,

 

We are embarking on becoming a Moodle School, moving from an intranet soln.=
 to this LMS. We are currently trying to work how to structure our courses i=
n a multi campus LMS environment. We have three campuses, Tyabb, Carrum Down=
s and LaTrobe City.

 

I would love to hear from any multi-campus college on how they structured th=
eir curriculum on Moodle to accommodate more than one campus with divergent=
 structures and courses, i.e, how you can access courses from each campus, b=
ut maintain the integrity of each campus=E2=80=99 offering and also make spa=
ce available so that each class/ teacher (say Year 9 English) has its/ their=
 own space, but can not only access material from their own campus (other Ye=
ar 9 English classes), but also resources from other campuses as well. 

 

Just trying to get my head around the structure that is needed before we sta=
rt, to make it as efficient and usable as possible.
