Hi Moodlers,
We have an issue with our installation. Moodle ver 1.6.
We can blog but it is either private or the whole site can see it .
Obviously we need to blog within a course only and not have the whole site viewing it.
I have checked the documentation and there are settings related to blogs .
1. Under Config, variables, miscellaneous, blog level : Viewer can only see blogs for people who share a course
The blurb states : This setting allows you to restrict the level to which user blogs can be viewed on this site. Note that they specify the maximum context of the VIEWER not the poster or the types of blog posts. Blogs can also be disabled completely if you don't want them at all.
2. When you add a blog, the drop down list of options ( see image attached ) does not give the option of posting to the course only. It is either private ( only poster ) or the whole site can view it.
Needless to say, it is not great to see students viewing teacher only blogs ......
Any ideas on a fix ?
Best Wishes
Kevork
