Looks good Stephen. How did you get your links and resources to go across
the topic boxes 1 and 2?

Attached is a view of the staff area that I was tinkering with and briefly
demonstrated at the last moodle meeting. It is work in progress and I have a
couple more changes to add. The pictures just make this dreary area a bit
more interesting and the admin staff can change their pictures via their
profile. They quickly learn to upload / modify and delete docs using the
folders. I create for them shortcuts to the very important docs for each
area. This area supports three groups that mean we can target news to all or
teachers / SSO / other staff. The office staff keep the online calendar up
to date for this area by adding details of teacher level meetings. Public
events that are of interest to school council, parents and students go into
the root level calendar. Most docs are available as either PDF / ODT / DOC
formats.

Interesting thing is that control of the Intranet is now back in the hands
of the users to manage, control and use.

I have some thoughts about adding discussion forums (mailing lists) for
some of the areas listed, kicking things off by subscribing key users. I
also have had some interest in setting up small wiki's for each area but
will wait for the Moodle 1.6 upgrade. Next project is to probably migrate
our IT help desk area off our website to something similar, perhaps wiki
based... I will take it just one step at a time.

Regards Roland
