[Moodle] Thank you!!!!!!!

Thank you for the thank yous but really I did nothing. Kat and Heidi (the gi=
rls who set up the tables and served our drinks/food) and Bryan and the othe=
r chefs and kitchen hand really did the work. Oh and hubby Greg who set up t=
he power for us. 

Many many many many thanks to Diane for providing the projector and screen,=
 we couldn't have done it without you kiddo!! I promise to bring them next t=
ime!!

Thanks to Donna for your expertise and the ubuntu CDs - I can't wait to play=
 with edubuntu!! And moodlebuzz.com is going to be fun!!

And thanks to everyone for your wisdom and experience - it is great to prove=
 to the world that a group of nerds and geeks can actually have fun !!

Also thanks to Roland for showing me flickr (I've never had time to investig=
ate!)

Also great to add a few more faces to names!

I agree with you Laurie and Keith about maybe being more structured. Laurie=
 and I were chatting and said we could probably have one of these each term.=
 Maybe start a more structured presentation at 7pm (allowing for those stuck=
 in traffic!) We could maybe give 3 presenters 30 minutes each, then throw i=
t all open for questions, comments, problems etc and general sharing of comp=
uter screens and socialising.

Someone made the comment that they were 'conferenced-out' at this time of ye=
ar - I would add to that all the other things that occur at this time of yea=
r - exams and other assessment, reports, haggling over allotments, etc. So m=
aybe that's why no one pushed for the structure last night, and we ended up=
 being quite informal.

I hope to have the definitive list of "What Moodle can do for you" later thi=
s week. As soon as I have I will throw it open for your additions/deletions/=
comments/corrections etc. I am planning a PowerPoint as I want to use it for=
 all staff at Bentleigh next year.

In the meantime, thanks for your attendance, have a great Xmas - not long to=
 go until another well deserved break!!
