[Moodle] Problem with email authentication

Hi all

 

During set up of Moodle in our school domain I was prompted for smtpuser and
smtphost.

 I want to make use of the staff edumail accounts and have no idea what info
to insert here.

Various alternatives have been tried but none were successful. At present we
have mostly manual 

registrations but when a new user attempts to register with email
authentication their application fails.

Also, users who have been added with manual registration do not receive
copies of forum posts.

 

Any suggestions please.
