You are confusing me George, *smiles*
There is not a separate room or anything at grandma's, I will make sure we have one side of the room, but Monday evenings are not usually too busy. We may have other diners in the room, but they will be on other tables. The whole cafe seats 60 or so - I don't think we will have the numbers to book it all out!!
The menu has anything you want to order on it - there is no set price or anything. Can be viewed at www.grandmafunks.com.au Alcohol is at 'cafe' prices (also on the website) and includes a great range of beer, wines. spirits, cocktails, shots etc (beer is stubby sized bottles - not on tap). Great coffee and cake!
So far I have received about 7 replies confirming.
4 more days till the easter bunny comes!
Cheers

Home computers are being called upon to perform many new functions, including the consumption of homework formerly eaten by the dog.

Evening Moodlers,
We are looking to meet at Grandmafunks on Easter Monday at 6.30 PM. I can provide the data projector and screen. The idea is to meet for a beer/wine and fingerfood and each of us has max of 10 minutes to show others the best of their Moodle site. I'm looking at $10/head for hire of room and finger food, alcohol at bar prices. Coffee at usual price.
We could just show our best on Modle. Display on data projector. Looking at booking an an area or room.
I don't know the layout of Grandmafunks, but it looks like this is a good place to start. I would guess that there would be 10 of us there. It is kind of Roslyn to offer the venue. If you are interested in joining us please let Roslyn know. It is only fair that the host knows the number of people coming.
I'm just a recipient of these emails re Moodle. not the administrator.

>Hello Moodlers,
>
>6.30pm Easter Monday sounds fine for a 'Moodle in a Bar' session. What about others? I guess it would be good for me to know how many people would like to come so I can book a Moodlers table/space. Please email back to myself (edumail addy please) or the list. I do not have access to projector or screen these days, maybe someone can offer? Or can we just set up laptops with moodle sites and share them around? I will insist hubby provides some complimentaries of some sort.

>Thanks George for the suggestion of the time, and Laurie for nice comments about grandma's. Roland and Laurie (Moodle gurus!!!) - I am praying you will be available.

>If you want to check the menu grandma's website is www.grandmafunks.com.au (sorry it is your basic FP site - it's all I know for web design!! - feel free to criticise tho!!).

>What a good idea. I would like to join fellow Moodlers for a chat, a show off & a beer. This will never happen if we keep searching for venue. Richmond is central to Melbourne. gRandMa funks 276 Swan St Richmond. I propose that we just get Moodlers together in your Cafe and set up a laptop, projector & screen, and give each visitor max 5 minutes to show off their Moodle site. "Show us your Moodle best". Finger food and coffee for the original meeting at 276 Swan St Richmond. What about Easter Monday at an early geek hour of 6:30 pm.

Presuming all the software and everything works ok should be about 2 weeks before we become active. I would be quite happy to host a 'moodle in a bar' session. We seat about 60 inside and another 20 outside. gRandMa funks 276 Swan St Richmond. Roland feel free to call me on 0412 614 062 and we can set up a choice of times and dates if you like. People from the other lists (IPM?) may be interested too.
