Hi Moodlers,
I am a new user of Moodle and have successfully installed the programand
have played around with creating various courses and adding resources
and activities etc. However I am having trouble with updating images in
the user profiles and increasing the max file upload size settings. I
have followed the FAQ advice on modifying the php.ini file but this does
not seem to have allowed the required changes. I changed the php.ini
settings and then change selection of gd version to 2.x in the
"variables settings" in Moodle configuration. When I attempt to upload a
new image into the user profile I get an error message that says the
server does not recognise .jpg files. Similar response when I use .png
files. Any helpful hints on how to solve this problem. Did I miss
something on the origininal install that can only be fixed with a total
re-installation.

Thanks in anticipation of any help.
