[Year 12 IT Apps] Google has a new logo

While we’re on the topic of logos. This may be helpful for those looking at
logos in other subject areas. We use these for a small unit we do with
illustrator for logo design and reinvention

They have to be careful to keep in line with their branding I suppose.

Small change, subtle, yet familiar – its like Estee Lauder and all their
cross brands, they all use a slightly different, classy san serif font.

Interesting.

Perhaps we are hard wired to be more sensitive to small differences: the
objects that are aligned - but not exactly; the musical note that is just
off key; the two colours that are almost the same; the line that is
parallel to the edge of the page - but not exactly.

The last time they changed their logo, they moved *two* letters by *one*
pixel.
