Hi,

I can't recommend Codecademy highly enough, I've been using it across Year 9 through Year 11 for the last 4 years to give my students exposure to various skills such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and Python. We do use Dreamweaver but I try to make sure they actually understand the principles rather than just relying on the WYSIWYG editor. Many a web designer does not really understand how to structure a page correctly because Design view hides this from you.

If you set up a class using the Teaching Resources it gives you a grid-view of student progress and this makes assessment much easier. High-performing students will just work through this stuff and ask for more.

Khanacademy also has some great resources and can be set up with class groups for assessment also.

Regards,
Richard
