Please refer this e-mail to the edulists on 20 October.  Particularly relevant is getting the printed copies of Unit 3 and 4 Chapter 1.  E-mail Kathryn and it will get sorted by your orientation programs.



I've also received (via the elearning coordinator at Lalor SC) a hard copy of unauthorised proofs of Chapter 1 for Unit 3 and 4 a few weeks back which is similar to the current online content and has at least got me moving forward with developing materials.



That said, the release date of advice for teachers being late November means that most teachers will moving into next year trying to use resources from IT Apps U3O2 for Informatics U3O1 and will also use resources from IT U1O1 for Computing U1O1 (though the material covered has changed quite a bit in terms of the actual outcome requirements). It will be painful for 2016, then improve steadily from then on.

VCE 2016 Computing and Informatics teachers Cengage Learning is publishing VCE Computing and VCE Informatics for 2016. As you are probably aware we are experiencing some problems in getting these resources out on time. I truly apologise for this and assure you that we are working hard to publish them as soon as we can.

I am aware that you will start planning your 2016 course soon so I have organised the following:

Table of contents and Chapter 1 is now available on the NelsonNet site. Go to https://www.nelsonnet.com.au/nelson-netbook and click on the VCE Computing cover as it scrolls through under New Releases.

If you would like to see page proofs of this title please contact your Cengage sales rep.



VCE Informatics Units 3 & 4

Chapter 1 will be available this week on the NelsonNet site. If you are booklisting the book and would like to receive printed copies of Chapter 1 for each of your 2016 Year 12 students then please email kathryn.coulehan at cengage.com<mailto:kathryn.coulehan at cengage.com<mailto:kathryn.coulehan at cengage.com%3cmailto:kathryn.coulehan at cengage.com>> stating your name, school, school address and number of copies that you require. We are expecting to be in a position to start mailing these out after the Cup Day weekend.
