Hi Adam,

The relevant key skill is

* use web or multimedia authoring software to create on-screen user documentation

Students need to demonstrate that they know the purpose and features of user documentation, the difference between printed and in-screen documentation, and that they can use some kind of tool to produce documentation that can be viewed on-screen and is navigable by the user.

The key skills that relate to the PSM all refer to the solution, which for this outcome is a database/spreadsheet.

Video tutorials would be great, especially if they are packaged in a website or even a hyperlinked PDF document.

If I’ve missed (or misunderstood) something here, someone please jump in and correct me - soon!!! :D

Hi all,

Just a few questions:

-Do the students need to go through the design stage for the 'onscreen user
documentation' for unit 4 outcome 1? Are they required to submit a testing
table?

-Can the user documentation be a video tutorial?

I have been asked to prepare something by my college to help provide a general course overview for students and families at our subject expo that promotes all the subjects and learning areas. Typically these are course based pamphlets that includes enough information to help inform a subject choice and promote a new learning area. My area is VCE IT

I was thinking of crowd sourcing this and sharing our work and love back to this community.

Anybody interested in this project, please join us by sending me an expression of interest and I will add you into the Google Doc. If you have some resources that you think we could work from, or that you like the layout for, just toss me a copy to share.

I hate publisher and gave Canva a look over. This isnt a brochure, I spent far too little time on it, it says barely enough and you can chuckle at the text.
