[Year 12 IT Apps] Data security

I have enough of a challenge trying to get onto some school networks, they could model that security for aviation systems. I think the real reason had something to do with making everybody pay attention to the safety instructions and look away from their devices. Much the same reason I hate ear-buds in my science class when explaining experiments. It isn’t the dull glazed look or mind-numbing music, its just a safety thing about hearing all instructions.

Regards Roland

PS: I know a gobsmacking great network story to share one day but only after sworn secrecy, I cannot ever mention it online. Remind me after shouting a beer or hot cup of tea at the DLTV conference in July :-)

> Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets, as well as Airbus A350 and A380 aircraft, have Wi-Fi passenger networks that use the same network as the avionics systems of the planes, raising the possibility that a hacker could hijack the navigation system or commandeer the plane through the in-plane network, according to the US Government Accountability Office, which released a report about the planes today...
