I'm not teaching IT Apps this year either, but I used to allocate 4 X 90 and 2 X 45. It was a rush, and it extended more than once into an extra double period. It's a big chunk of time out of Unit 4 and affects the amount of time that can be given to exam preparation. If you do a full practice SAC as well, that's almost half of Term 3 gone.

hi margaret - i have given my students 6 x 75 + 2 x 50 because we had shortened lessons for assemblies and parent/teacher.

i'm still not popular with them -  they are struggling but what can i do - poor things -

I am keen to know what time frame others are allowing for this assessment task as it has quite a number of components.
How many periods are people planning on giving and what length are they.

I have planned for 6 x 70 min periods at this stage however am having second thoughts as the kids are struggling with this time frame as we work through a practice SAC.
