We have played around with http://appinventor.mit.edu/ with our year 9 and year 11 students. It provides a Scratch-style interface for making Android Phone Apps, it's pretty cool

Thanks for your work. I will give it a try.
I saw the Android sign in your paper. Are you using Android to teach kids how to program apps?
I teach ICT at Rostrevor College in SA and I am a Window school. I wanted to do Xcode but no apples for that. So I have to consider Java. Could you give me any advice how to start?

I wrote a simple set of worksheets to get students up and running with Expression Web 3. It is part of the Edustar image and version 4 is now freely available from Microsoft. I've broken the steps up and included some resources for a VERY basic website about baby seals. EW3 enforces the use of styles and has lovely tools for moving styles to a separate style sheet although I haven't covered that in these sheets. I start by setting up a managed site folder and finish with a floating, centred one-column layout. When I write some material for controlling styles I'll upload it.
