[Year 12 IT Apps] database convention - postcodes as a text field in databases

I guess there is nothing like asking the source for information, somebody could write a letter to the UK post office for their final word or send them a polite Telex .o(sounds of crickets chirping)
I am often at pains to show students that the gems in Wikipedia are the links to the references cited at the bottom of each page and the often vibrant and illuminating discussions on the talk pages. Gets you right to the source documents and the issues to be unpacked about any topic.
