[Year 12 IT Apps] Study design requirements

Firstly, thank you Mark for your apology and for your public support of everyone involved in the development and maintenance of VCE IT. Secondly, in response to the queries posted by Mark, I provide the following information.



In IT apps, the Unit 4 Outcome 2 statement requires students to address more than one organisation. In the conduct of the coursework audit in 2011 this requirement was taken into consideration when determining if tasks were compliant.



In Software Development, the Unit 4 Outcome 2 statement requires students to address more than one solution. In the conduct of the coursework audit in 2011 this requirement was taken into consideration when determining if tasks were compliant.



One of the key purposes of coursework audit is to support teachers in the delivery of the study design, and this is particularly so in the first year of implementation, hence the assessment reports. Final audit recommendations are based on 'on-balance' decisions, taking into account the task (alignment with the study design, ability to discriminate performance, level of assistance), and the marking scheme (links to task, links to the study design).
