There's a lot of literature out there.  The problem is complex, and
cultural.  Women are 50/50 in computing in Malaysia.  Australia and the
US are the worst when it comes to women avoiding the IT Industry.

The range of roles available to smart women in the IT industry is
incredible. Just being competent puts you ahead of the pack because
people are all too aware they need more women - so it's not affirmative
action at work - it's desperation.
