This of course will need to be updated to include the carbon tax and the tax reform changes.

Nice reality check with the kids when they realise that some people loose 48% of their income to tax and most loose 35%.

Nice and thanks Mark,

Question, is this just a simpler version of tax? Since you applied the tax rate to the whole income (instead of the first 8000 being @ 0% the next 7000 @ whatever % and so on...

I remember last year I attempted to explain how the real aussie income tax works and lost half of the class pretty quickly.
