Hi Mark,

Why not show them the power of Xbox programming ? It will only take 12
months ..... but you can whet their appetite .

Or I check out Dr Jason Zagame's presentation on Augmented Reality and play
with some demonstrations and links and activities -
http://www.slideshare.net/j.zagami/augmented-reality-4972353

In the horizon report covering the top 10 big technology trends in 1 year, 3
years and 5 years augmented reality comes in very high.

Or analyse the horizon report to cover breadth of emerging technologies so
at least the students are aware of what is coming up to become familiar with
the trends. A bit like a research project , then they post their findings
and report back to the class. http://wp.nmc.org/horizon2010/chapters/trends/

Actually, it sounds very interesting. Can I come and take the class ??? The
students can follow the trends of their choice and what a great way to scan
what is coming up ??

Take Care

Hi all

I am hopeful that someone might come to my rescue.

I am taking a Yr 9 Emerging Technologies class for the next two weeks to
cover a teacher on sick leave.

Has anybody got two weeks worth of something exciting that I can throw at 17
yr 9 students?

Almost anything exciting fresh and new will do. (don't ask much do I?)
