Dear colleagues
Can I refer you to a position paper that will be submitted to ACARA about the role of ICT as a general capability and as a discipline. Currently the paper is posted on the Australian Council for Computer Education's website for comment http://acce.edu.au/nationalcurriculum
As is the practice in Victoria, schools have flexibility as to how they implement a curriculum document, but I think that the arguments put forward in the paper strongly support teaching of ICT knowledge and skills through an expert. That expert may be a dedicated ICT teacher or another teacher skilled in the area.
Regards
Paula

share your experiences. Any advice for successful implementation?
Regards,
Adric Gardner
