[Year 12 IT Apps] VCAA Sample Exam Questions

Hi everyone,

I, too, have just had to teach 'Normalisation' to my Year 12 ITA classes (and ERDs). I have always only taught the absolute basic level as per Mark's example.

I have looked at the sample exam questions and what I have taken from them is that much of the new Key Knowledge has been highlighted; which I welcome.  This alerts me to the fact that we have a new Study Design and new content is included which I must teach.

Commonsense would hopefully prevail and not every new Key Knowledge would be assessed to the nth degree in the first year's exam (or so I hope)!

I am actually more interested in the fact that "extended responses (worth 8 marks) with prompts to guide answers", are now included; eg Question 9. This is a major shift.

Ditto, Question 7. This highlights how the exam will deal with "the choice of different software in Unit 4, Area of Study 1". "A common question is presented, and students select the software tool to explain their answer."
