Very clear and informative interpretation and re-engineering of the
Assessment Handbook and study design. If you wanted to further add value
to it, you could assign specific values to variable information that
relates specifically to the task you have developed for your students.
For example, in the Analysis component state what you would expect from
students is they identified 'all the website requirements of the online
community are' - what is all? What would you accept at the lower end of
the scale - ' limited website requirements' - how many is limited?

It is essential to 'roadtest' the rubric in this way, prior to giving
the task to your students. This allows you to find instances where the
task does not allow sufficient discrimination between the highest and
the lowest levels of performance. If this is the case, the task needs
tweaking. This process of assigning values to variables also assists you
in making consistent assessment judgments, regardless of the hour that
you are marking!

Enjoy the weekend.

Paula

Subject: [Year 12 IT Apps] 2011 U3OC1 Task1 Rubrics

Hi,

I've attempted to create a rubrics for 2011 U3 OC1 Task1; could I please
have some feedback about whether it seems sensible / appropriate.

Thanks,
