[Year 12 IT Apps] Map of the internet

Not really, there are some great open source tools around that can now mash
up these maps on the fly with a database. You just need to plug it all in,
configure and hit go. There is a website that escapes me now that can do the
same with a conventional world map for any statistic including GDP,
population, birth, death rates etc. The great thing about these
visualisations is that they can be used as a teaching tool beyond showing
off line graphs or pie charts.
