We hand back all SAC (Year 10- 12) and Exams (year 10-11).
Our policy is that the feedback is more important than the mark and the ability to revive and revise content/skills was of value - all our year 10/11 subject have mid year and end of year exams.
On exams we have feedback forms that cover things such as clarity of response with regard to course content , neat, legible writing, etc (all faculty/subject specific)
Of course with SAC particularly in IT we go through responses in class and individually as required and have at time provided sample answers to help with the review process.
>From the teaching and learning side we also wanted to ensure SACs/tests/exams etc were not reused year after year, particularly at Unit ¾ level.
Regards
Claudia

Hi Everyone
Just a quick straw poll.
Our school does not currently hand back SACs to the students but gives them either a grade or mark and goes through the SACs with the students. Next year the school is looking to hand back the SACS with grades and I interested to know what other schools currently do.
Thank u

Hi all. I just know this is going to blow up into a BIG thread and this is not the place for it.
Joyce, you might want to try the elearning mailing list. A better place for this.

Hi all,
I have had a request from our special education teachers to purchase Ipads as a learning aid for students with learning disabilities. Can anyone give me their views on the benefits or otherwise, of using ipads over netbooks
Thanks
